Larry Lampen, EA 
Larry has been in accounting since 1968 when he began what is now LVS. He specializes in accounting and tax for individuals, corporations, partnerships, LLC's and estates. He uses his experience in estate planning and developing financial accounting strategies to help his clients achieve their goals. Larry is a member of the Independent Accountants Association of Michigan (IAAM) and the National Society of Accountants (NSA). He also serves on the board at The Bridge Ministry Center and is Treasurer of Ambucs.

He has been married to his wife Pat for 40 years. Together they have three children and 8 grandchildren. Larry enjoys spending time with his family on Big Star Lake.

Matt Kotman, EA
Matt joined LVS in 2000 and has been a partner since 2006.  He graduated from Grand Valley in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and in 2003 received his master’s degree in accounting.  He also recently passed the Enrolled Agent (EA) Exam administered by the IRS.

Matt is responsible for a variety of accounting and tax related responsibilities and enjoys helping the clients achieve their goals.  This includes preparation of financial statements, individual and corporate tax return preparation, and other services that the client requires.  Matt currently serves as the Treasurer of the firm. Matt is currently a member of the Independent Accountants Association of Michigan.  Outside of the office, Matt enjoys a round of golf, watching the MSU Spartans, and volunteering as part of his church’s worship team.

Judith See, EA
Judi has been working in the accounting and tax industry since 1977. She began her career doing taxes at a large well-known company before starting her own. Judi merged her business with LVS in 2001. She loves her clients and building personal relationships with each one. Judi is a registered representative in the securities field with Series 6, 7, and 63 licenses. Judi is an active member in the IAAM.

She has been married 42 wonderful years to her husband Bob. Together they have two children and four grandchildren. She enjoys playing golf, reading, and travelling. 

Justin Johnson, CPA
Justin joined LVS in November 2010 with over 6 years of accounting experience. As a licensed CPA, Justin is ready to assist you in all your accounting needs. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting at Grand Valley State University, with a semester abroad at John Cabot University in Rome Italy. Justin is an active member in the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. 

When not in the office he enjoys spending time with his wife Jill.  A hike in the dunes, camping, and golfing are a few of his favorite leisure activities.  Justin and Jill attend Ridge Point Community Church in Holland. 

Kyle J. Geenen, CPA Candidate
Kyle joined LVS in July 2010 with over 3 years of experience in accounting and computer science. He is currently completing the final series of the four-exam CPA license. Kyle has travelled to Malawi (Africa) to teach accounting to University Students, served as student body president in college and also worked at a large CPA firm in Chicago. Currently he serves on the Alumni Board at Trinity Christian College.

He enjoys spending time with his girlfriend Tiffany. Interests: wake-boarding, sunsets on Lake Michigan, and time with friends and family. Kyle is a member at Park Church in Holland.

Lora Buursma, CPA Candidate
Lora joined LVS in November 2011 with over 4 years of public accounting experience. She has served clients in a wide range of industries, including nonprofit, manufacturing, construction, and governments with both audit and tax accounting matters. She earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting at Grand Valley State University and has passed all four sections of the CPA Exam. Lora is currently working to finish the final requirement to obtain her CPA license. 

When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband (Matt), her family, and her friends. She enjoys sports (watching and playing), scrapbooking, traveling, gardening, and tenting. Lora and Matt attend Providence CRC in Grand Rapids, where they serve as part-time youth directors. 

Jan De Fouw
Jan is the Executive Assistant at LVS.  She has been at LVS since 2001. Not only does Jan love her job, but she feels blessed to work with a fantastic group of people. Keeping the office running as efficient as possible is a challenging task.

Jan has been married to Mike for 38 years. Together they have two children, and three WONDERFUL grandchildren! Mike is enjoying being retired after working 36 ½ years for the City of Holland. 

Julie Prys
Julie received her associate’s degree in accounting from Davenport University. She started working at LVS in January 2011. However, she has been a part of LVS since she was born.  Julie enjoys getting to see her dad, Larry Lampen every day at work.  

Julie is married to Zac Prys. They have two children, Hailey and Mason.  As a family they love their pets: two dogs, one cat, a bunny, and a fish.

When not working, Julie enjoys spending time with her family and going for walks with her dogs. When the weather is not that great she enjoys knitting, reading, watching tv, and baking.

Jerry Vanden Bosch, EA
Jerry has been in the accounting profession for over 30 years. He joined Larry at LVS many years ago and continues to serve clients on a periodic basis.
